About this tour

The Neretva near Konjic is one of the most underrated rafting rivers in the Balkans — fast, technical, and running through a canyon of outstanding beauty. Starting above Jablaničko Lake and finishing near Konjic's famous Ottoman bridge, the route covers 22 km of river through tight gorge sections, powerful Class III–IV rapids, and long clear stretches with dramatic cliffs above.

Konjic is easily reachable from Sarajevo (1 hour), Mostar (1.5 hours), or Split — making this a perfect day trip from any of these bases. We combine the rafting with a short walk around Konjic old town after the river, if time allows.

Frequently asked questions

Yes — this is one of our most popular combinations. Raft in the morning (finish by 16:00), then 1 hour to Mostar for the evening. Both are on the same road (M-17) and the logistics are easy. Tell us when booking and we'll suggest timing.

Minimum age is 14 years for the Class III–IV section. If you have younger children (10+), the Una River tour runs a gentler section that's appropriate.

The Neretva is more accessible and easier to combine with city visits (Sarajevo, Mostar). The canyon walls are different character — lower and more pastoral in sections, then very tight and technical. The water is also slightly warmer. It's the best day-trip option from central Bosnia.

Not currently on this route. All groups run the section in shared rafts. Kayak trips on the Neretva are available as a custom tour for experienced kayakers — contact us separately.
